Very quick explanation of the Russia Ukraine situation for people with jobs
I’ll kick this off by saying no one knows the actual full truth you’ll see very shortly when it comes to things like this It’s hard to tell because the actors try to cover their tracks, lie and or be detached by design.
In Feb 2014 Russia took over a region of Ukraine that stretches out into the Black Sea called Crimea. Why the fuck would they do that? Well…. It’s complicated.
2013
In Nov 2013, the Ukrainian president at the time Viktor Yanukovych failed to sign the European Union–Ukraine Association Agreement in favor of a deal with Russia Instead.
Dec 2013, 300 thousand protestors pull up to Kiev, the capitol of Ukraine to protest this decision.
Things get crazy.
2014
It’s 2014, the craziness continues and 100+ protestors are killed and allegedly shot by government “snipers”
The Underworld
A phone conversation between Victoria Nuland, US assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, and Geoffrey Pyatt, the US ambassador to Ukraine talking about regime change gets leaked. Nothing like a good ol fashion Coup.
They are talking about the famous boxer Wladimir Klitschko and where he should be placed in the government and more.

Things heat up in Crimea, Pro Russian protestors clash with Pro European Union protestors.
Russian special operators pull up to Crimea with unmarked uniforms and take over government installations.
Russia lies and denies that they were their soldiers.
Russian President Putin condemns the ousting of the former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych.
Russia’s parliament gives Putin the green light to Officially invade Crimea.
Pro Russians in Crimea “Vote” to join Russia. 95% Majority.
U.N. Security Council calls the vote illegitimate.
Russia takes in Crimea.
US Navy Ship USS Donald Cook enters the black sea and allegedly gets Electronic attacked by Russian Su 24.
The west places sanctions on Russia and kicks them out of the G8.
NATO stops cooperating with Russia
Putin admits those were unmarked Spec Op forces that took over those installations in Crimea.
Russian Military makes Feb 27 the day of the takeover a holiday to honor their Special Forces.
Russia’s motivations for taking Crimea

I know it looks like Russia is the good guy here but you can research at the many times Russia funds/arms/supports US enemies. Not saying anyone is right or wrong. It is what is it. The game is the game. Players Play.
