Making Hummus - Gaza War Update 11/15/2023
The Israeli Offensive into Gaza
I haven’t covered Israel’s operation into Gaza because I wanted more information on their tactics. I’m still not as clear as I want to be but I’ll give you guys what I have. The IDF chose to orchestrate this operation in a interesting way and it’s definitely worth your time.
For those that are new to my articles I have to warn you, my content is mostly designed to look into strategies and tactics. Rarely will you ever see me make moral arguments on what’s right or what isn’t. Nor will you ever see me pick sides, I’ll compliment anyone that I think made the right move no matter how evil they might be.
As you all know, Israel kicked off this war against Hamas and friends right after the October 7th attack with an intense air campaign (Russia take notes). Israel was flying so many sorties I was beginning to wonder if their pilots were getting any sleep. I guess you don’t need sleep when you’re fueled by revenge. The air campaign seemed to have kicked off quickly with minimal time for reconnaissance. Which most likely means Israel already had a list of targets from past intelligence work and all their air force needed was the green light to start pounding them. The objectives of the airstrikes included but not limited to:
Killing Hamas and decapitating leadership
Destroying infrastructure used by Hamas in the past
Shaping the battlefield for the ground invasion
